The show at the gallery includes the works of 30 Lewisboro artists, both amateur and professional and comprises drawings, watercolors, oil paintings, sculptures and ceramic arts. Although exhibitions at Onatru Farm were suspended several years ago due to some structural damage, the newly renovated building is now ready to resume its role as an artistic venue.
“Artists at Onatru,” an informal group that began presenting shows in 1998, will donate a portion of sale proceeds to Lewisboro’s Friends of the Parks fund.
“I am always amazed at the breadth of talent in the artistic community of Lewisboro,” said co-curator Alex McFarlane, “and I greatly appreciate the mutual respect that Lewisboro’s amateur and professional artists have for each other.” McFarlane is on the staff of the Silvermine School of Art in New Canaan. He will co-curate the show with Peter Lampke, another member of the Silvermine Guild.
The exhibit will continue to be open to viewers on Sunday afternoons from June 30 through July 28, from 2 to 5 p.m. The gallery is at 99 Elmwood Road, South Salem. For further information about the exhibit, contact alex@artistmcfarlane.com.
