The American actress, singer and producer turns 65 today.
Arnaz is the daughter of actress and comedian Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, a Cuban-born musician, actor and television producer.
Her mother was best known as the zany star of self-produced sitcoms “I Love Lucy,” and “The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour.”
Arnaz, who was born and raised in Los Angeles grew up in television.
After having walk-on and acting roles in several of her mother’s shows, she went on to appear in numerous television series, including “Murder She Wrote” and “Law & Order.”
Arnaz also had a series of her own on CBS and won an Emmy for a documentary she made on her parents’ lives.
She had a long career in musical theater and has appeared in several feature films, such as 1980’s “The Jazz Singer.”
She has been married twice, first to actor Phil Vandervort, and then to actor-writer Laurence Luckinbill, with whom she has three children.
