Paltrow, an actress, singer, author and lifestyle company owner, was born Sept. 27, 1972, in Los Angeles.
Paltrow won an Academy Award, Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards for her performance in "Shakespeare in Love." She has also acted in films such as "Seven," "The Talented Mr. Ripley," "The Royal Tenenbaums" "Proof," "Avengers" and the "Iron Man" trilogy.
She co-wrote the book "Spain... A Culinary Road Trip" with Mario Batali and launched the weekly lifestyle newsletter Goop in 2008. Paltrow has also penned "My Father's Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family and Togetherness," "Notes From the Kitchen Table" and published "It's All Good: Delicious Easy Recipes That Will Make You Look Good and Feel Great."
