Cross River's Jeffrey Tambor Receives Emmy Nomination

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Emmy Awards show is nearing and on Thursday, the 2015 Primetime Emmy Awards were unveiled.

Cross River's Jeffrey Tambor received a nomination in the category of Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Role.

With a live broadcast by Fox, the Emmy Awards will be telecast on Sept. 20 and hosted by Andy Samberg.

HBO's "Game of Thrones" received the most nominations.

Jeffrey Tambor, a Cross River resident, was nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy category for his role as a transgender father in Amazon's "Transparent," which also received an Emmy nod for Outstanding Comedy Series.

Now-retired talk show host David Letterman, who owns a home in North Salem, was nominated in the Outstanding Variety Talk Series category for "Late Night with David Letterman."
