SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. -- Kids love animals of all kinds, but sometimes they don't understand that some can be dangerous. Wolves can be one of those animals. To help them learn about wolves, the Wolf Conservation Center will offer an introduction to wolves on Saturday, Feb. 20 at the center in South Salem.

Kids will learn about the mythology surrounding wolves and the important role of wolves in the natural world. This is an exciting time for wolves, they're out searching for prey as their growing pups experience their first winter season. Guests will visit Ambassador Wolves Atka, Alawa, Nikai and Zephyr, as well as the WCC’s critically endangered red wolves and Mexican gray wolves.

Guests will also enjoy hot beverages in the center's woodstove-heated classroom. Attendees should dress for cold weather. Pre-registration is required.

Fees: $15 - Adults / $12 - Children (under 12). To register, click here or call 914-763-2373.
