Evening Howl for All Ages: 6-7:30 p.m. Come to the Wolf Conservation Center and visit the wolves during their favorite hour dusk. Learn about the mythology, biology and ecology of wolves in North America and enjoy a sunset howl with the wolves. Youll observe the centers critically endangered red wolves, and Mexican wolves as well. Cost is $16 for adults, $13 for children under 12. Registration is required. Margaret Cho at Ridgefield Playhouse: 8 p.m. Margaret Cho's all new standup show, Mother, offers up an untraditional look at motherhood and how we look at maternal figures and strong women. Lewisboro Library Fair: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The annual fair/fundraiser will be held at Onatru Farm in South Salem and features craft vendors, antiques and collectibles (Attic Treasures), a used-book sale, a pie and muffin baking contest, classic car show, a silent auction, games for the kids and live music. Food will be provided by the Lions Club and the Horse & Hound. Admission and parking are free. 99 Elmwood Road, South Salem.
Gossett Brothers Farm Market: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The Farm Market features fresh produce, meats and cheese, as well as seafood. 1202 Route 35, at Gossett Brothers Nursery in South Salem.
Western Howls: Bringing Balance Back to Yellowstone: 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Come to the Wolf Conservation Center for a special talk about the wolves of Yellowstone National Park. The center will share its insights about wolf reintroduction, the beneficial ecological effect wolves have had on our nations first national park, and the debate that surrounds this controversial predator in the West. Guests will visit ambassador wolves Atka, Alawa and Zephyr as well as the WCCs critically endangered red wolves and Mexican gray wolves. All guests will be served weather appropriate treats. Green Homes & Great Estate House Tour: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Tour some of the most amazing homes and estates in Lewisboro and neighboring communities to help raise money for the Wolf Conservation Center. After checking in at Camp Runamuk in South Salem, the 68-acre estate that was a highlight of the center's first house tour, guests will tour a variety of unique homes at their leisure. This year's tour also includes a gourmet lunch stop. Tickets, which include lunch, are $100.
