LEWISBORO/POUND RIDGE, N.Y. –  Blood, Sweat & Tears comes to the Ridgefield Playhouse this weekend, plus it's your last chance to catch the Pound Ridge Theater Company's production of "Love, Loss and What I Wore." Check out these events:

 

Friday, Jan. 18

Blood, Sweat & Tears: 8 p.m. Blood, Sweat & Tears comes to the Ridgefield Playhouse to play its hits like “Spinning Wheel,” “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy” and “Hi-De-Ho.” The band is known for fusing rock, blues and pop with horn arrangements and jazz improvisation, creating the genre of jazz-rock. Gossett Brothers Farm Market: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. The Gossett Brothers Farm Market features fresh produce, meats and cheese, as well as seafood. The market is at 1202 Route 35, at Gossett Brothers Nursery in South Salem.

Pound Ridge Land Conservancy's Halle Ravine Preserve Walk: 10 a.m. Tate Bushell, the Pound Ridge Land Conservancy’s land steward/educator, will lead a family-friendly, educational walk through the Halle Ravine Preserve. Bushnell will interpret the winter landscape and provide stories about the Halle Preserve’s plants and animal life. Dress appropriately; no hiking experience necessary. Free. The Halle Ravine Preserve is located on Trinity Pass Road, next to the intersection of Trinity Pass and Donbrook Road. The preserve entrance is marked by a white wooden gate.

Hooked Rugs Folk Art Exhibit: 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. The Pound Ridge Library presents “Hooked Rugs by Mary Parker: An American Folk Art Goes Local,” a display of hooked rugs that opens Jan. 12 and runs through Feb. 13 in the library’s art gallery. The display is open during regular library hours. 271 Westchester Ave., Pound Ridge

Technology and You Workshop: 11 a.m. The Lewisboro Library will hold its “Technology and You” workshop, which will teach attendees how to use the library catalog to download free audiobooks and eBooks to compatible digital devices such as iPads, and e-readers like Nooks and Kindles. Reading Dream’s “Snowtacular” Kids Fair: 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. Reading Dream is a nonprofit organization that sends books to children and schools that need them. Join student volunteers in their student-organized fundraising event at the Cyrus Russell House in Cross River. There will be handmade crafts for sale, face-painting, games, and baked goods for sale. Winter Wolves: 11 a.m. Join the Wolf Conservation Center to learn about the mythology, biology and ecology of wolf families and discover why this season is such a magical time for wolf packs in North America. Guests will visit ambassador wolves Alawa and Zephyr, as well as the WCC’s critically endangered red wolves and Mexican gray wolves. Guests can enjoy hot beverages in our woodstove-heated classroom.
