St. Paul's Chapel Plans Musical Event To Promote Peace

VISTA, N.Y. -- Gospel choirs, musicians and clergy from throughout the area will present a message of peace, reconciliation and joy with a variety of performances on Saturday, Oct. 1, at St. Paul's Chapel in Vista.

Beginning at 2 p.m. and concluding at 5 p.m., the chapel will resound to the soul-stirring music of the Antioch Baptist Choir of Bedford Hills, the Gospel Chorus of Calvary Baptist in Norwalk, Conn., the New Hope Baptist Mass Choir from Danbury, Conn., Chip Andrus & Friends from South Salem Presbyterian Church, Michael Barry and the Stevens Memorial Methodist Church Choir from South Salem, Paul Storfer and the Northern Westchester Jewish Choir and St. Paul’s own Joyful Noyz.

Rev. Joseph Campo, pastor of St. John’s Episcopal Parish (of which St. Paul’s is a part) and clergy from the participating churches will tie the musical acts together with brief reflections on how we can each do our part to promote understanding.

Admission is free.
