The Schoolhouse Theater has partnered with The Yellow Finch Project, which will bring their “BOOKMARKS: Step into Spectacular Story Adventures” to Croton Falls on Saturday, April 11, at 10 a.m. and noon.

A unique adventure for students, the show will be a multi-sensory production of three adventure stories for kids with special needs and their families. Each child will have opportunities for pre-show experiences, which will prepare them for the show.

Using theater games and experiences to deliver breakthrough learning opportunities for children with autism and special needs, The Yellow Finch Project is a not-for-profit organization created by a group of theater and educational professionals. Their mission is to provide opportunities for students with special needs to use their imagination and explore their emotions through dramatic play. This program opens doors for children who struggle with communication to celebrate their creativity and cultivate new connections to the community.

Tickets are $20. A parent or caregiver must accompany the child and is included in the price of the ticket. Additional parent or observer tickets are available for $10 each.

Reservations are required. No walk-ins accepted. For reservations and more information, call 914-432-2697 or email schoolhousetheaterny@gmail.com.

“Beat’s Me, Lieutenant,” a new play by Arthur Gochman, will be held Saturday, April 11, at 8 p.m. Directed by Len Gochman, the action centers on a mysterious soldier in a small Texas town in the 1960s. The reading runs approximately one hour. The audience is encouraged to participate in a short talk-back with the cast and director immediately after the reading.

Tickets are $10. For reservations or more information, call 914-277-8477 or visit the Schoolhouse Theater here.

The Schoolhouse is at 3 Owens Road, Croton Falls, just off exit 8 on Interstate 684 in North Salem.
