Schoolhouse Theater Offers Student Discount For 'Luv'

CROTON FALLS, N.Y. -- The Schoolhouse Theater will present a pay-as-you-wish discount for students for its production of the Tony-nominated comedy "Luv" on Friday, May 30.

For one night only, students who present school identification to the box office at the Schoolhouse Theater before the 8 p.m. performance will be admitted for whatever they wish to pay, providing it is at least $5.

"This makes the price of admission to live, professional theater less than the cost of a movie," said Executive Director James Shearwood. "We are able to do it because other patrons generously support the theater more fully. Our hope is that lots of young people will come out to enjoy this wonderfully funny play and pay what they wish for a great evening of laughs."

Directed by Schoolhouse Artistic Director Pamela Moller Kareman, the cast of "Luv" is Neal Mayer, Steve Perlmutter and Quinn Cassavale. Playwright Murray Schisgal is also the co-author of the Oscar-nominated film "Tootsie," which starred Dustin Hoffman.

Individual tickets for "Luv" are $35 on Thursday and Friday and $37 on Saturday evening and Sunday matinee. Student tickets, on nights other than May 30, are $20.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.schoolhousetheater.org or by calling the box office at 277-8477.
