NWH's Raskin To Present At Session On Developmental Anxiety In Children

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Susan Raskin, manager of integrative medicine at Northern Westchester Hospital, will present at an education session, "Developmental Anxiety and the Middle-School Child," on Wednesday, March 26 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Northern Westchester Hospital's Conference Center.

This discussion, part of the hospital’s ongoing speaker series, will focus on ways to help children overcome anxiety and instill confidence.

Susan Raskin will share various coping methods that can be useful in managing stressful circumstances for you and your child.

In addition to being the manager of integrative medicine at NWH, Raskin is an advanced practice registered nurse and is board certified as a holistic clinical nurse specialist. She has many years of integrative and complementary nursing experience in hospitals and private practice settings, most recently completing a year-long nurse fellowship at NYU Langone Medical Center’s MindBody Education and Patient Care program.

She obtained her certification in foot reflexology through The American Reflexology Certification Board (ARCB) in 2002. Raskin is an accredited instructor of foot reflexology through the American Commission for Accreditation of Reflexology Education and Training (A.C.A.R.E.T.) and recently obtained her ARCB hand reflexology certification.

Raskin has also served four years on the Board of Directors of The New York State Reflexology Association (NYSRA) recently completing her term as President 2008-2010.
