Northern Westchester Hospital Presents Kids, ADHD, ADD, Medications

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Northern Westchester Hospital will host a new speaker series on Kids, ADHD, ADD and medications featuring Mark Bertin, developmental pediatrician and Eugene Kornhaber, child and adolescent psychiatrist, on Wednesday, Oct. 8 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The speaker series will be held at the North Building in Conference Rooms A and B. The North Building is located at 400 East Main Street, Mount Kisco.

Bertin will provide an overview of the latest research into the causes, diagnosis and treatment of attention deficit disorders and related conditions, along with practical advice regarding comprehensive care of children with ADHD and ADD. He will discuss how attention problems can affect a child’s cognitive, social and emotional growth and describe the latest medical and non-medical interventions.  Kornhaber will present on attention deficit disorder including the history of ADD, myths, neurophysiology, the types of ADD with clinical manifestations and provide an overview of a clinical diagnosis.
