Bertin will provide an overview of the latest research into the causes, diagnosis and treatment of attention deficit disorders and related conditions, along with practical advice regarding comprehensive care of children with ADHD and ADD. He will discuss how attention problems can affect a child’s cognitive, social and emotional growth and describe the latest medical and non-medical interventions. Kornhaber will present on attention deficit disorder including the history of ADD, myths, neurophysiology, the types of ADD with clinical manifestations and provide an overview of a clinical diagnosis.
