The library is holding these events to celebrate the beginning of their annual summer reading program, which will run from June 29 to Thursday, Aug.13.

On Monday, June 29, the library will hold their teen summer reading party. Plans include a 'guess-the-hero' game and a scavenger hunt. The next night, the children's party takes place with a science twist, as 'Sciencetellers' will celebrate the real heroes in the world.

Both parties start at 7 p.m. at the library.

The overall theme for the program involves superheroes. Teens can participate in a weekly photo challenge, which will have various members of the Avengers snapped at local Lewisboro venues. Books and t-shirts will be part of a weekly raffle as well.

Students in sixth grade or older can read magazines or liten to audiobooks, track what they read and win prizes at the end of the program, while younger students in kindergarten through fifth grade will win a prize for every five books they read.

The library is at 15 Main St. in South Salem.

All who are interested in registering can call the library at 763-3857 or 874-9004, or by email at lewisborolibrary@gmail.com.
