Lewisboro Land Trust Plans Kentucky Derby Viewing Party, Fundraiser

LEWISBORO, N.Y. -- The Lewisboro Land Trust is hosting a viewing party/fundraiser for the 142nd running Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 7, at Vivien Malloy's Edition Farm in Waccabuc.

Hearty hors d'oeuvres, wine and mint juleps will be served in the garden -- with big-screen TV -- at the Edition Farm, a thoroughbred breeding facility.

Kentucky Derby dress is suggested, and there will even be a hat contest with awards in several categories.

The event will help raise money for the Lewisboro Land Trust, which has helped protect more than 1,000 acres of open space, preserving the unique rural character of Lewisboro.

The event will be from 5-7:30 p.m. Race time will be at 6:30 p.m.

The Edition Farm is at 5 Schoolhouse Road, Waccabuc.
