Lewisboro GOP Candidates to Host Ice Cream Social

LEWISBORO, N.Y. – Lewisboro Republican candidates, “Team Lewisboro,” will hold a town-wide ice cream social, known as “Sundaes on Sunday,” Sunday, Sept. 25. The event will be hosted by town board hopefuls Rhea Mallett and John Pappalardo.

The traveling ice cream social is intended as an opportunity for Lewisboro residents to meet Team Lewisboro’s slate of candidates for the general election on Nov. 8 and discuss the issues important to them.

The event will begin with ice cream at the Pavilion in Fox Valley Park at 12:30 p.m., and then travel to Town Park, finishing at Onatru Farm in the late afternoon. Children and adults will be able to create their own sundaes while enjoying the afternoon in the town parks. The event is free to Lewisboro residents.

Mallett, who is a registered Democrat running with the endorsement of the town’s Republican and Conservative committees, is running alongside incumbent Supervisor Charlie Duffy, and former Lions Club president and current councilman, John Pappalardo. Rounding out the team are incumbent Town Clerk Kathy Cory and former three-term Highway Superintendent Steve Hill.

According to Mallett, the ice cream social is a way for candidates to reach out to the community and create an activity for residents to have some family fun while meeting new people.

The traveling ice cream social will be accessible to all residents throughout the town by moving to each of the town’s parks over the course of the afternoon. Times and locations are: Fox Valley Park Pavilion, 12-1:30 p.m., Town Park Pavilion, 2:30-4 p.m., and Onatru Farm Park Pavilion 5-6:30 p.m. For more information, e-mail info@teamlewisboro.com or call 914-301-5951.
