The ZBA, a five-member board that hears land use appeals that have been turned down by the Weston Planning and Zoning Commission, provides a means for property owners to potentially avoid the hardships that strict enforcement of zoning regulations may impose.

Machson replaces Nick Noyes, who served on the ZBA for 35 years.

“Bob brings years of involvement in our town as well as experience and a fresh voice to the Zoning Board of Appeals,” said Britta Lerner, Chairman of the RTC. “His appointment is welcome.”

Machson, an attorney who his been in private practice for over 30 years, currently volunteers with Weston’s Middle School Mock Trial program.

He and his family have lived in Weston since 2002.
