POMONA, N.Y. -- A lawsuit has been filed by the union that represents workers at the Summit Park Hospital and Nursing Care Center in Pomona exacting whether it is legal to close the facility, says lohud.com.

The efforts undertaken by Ed Day, Rockland County Executive, set the closing for Dec. 31, according to lohud.com.

In doing so Day violates the County Charter alleges the lawsuit, for not gaining approval from the county Legislature before going forward, says lohud.com.
