The film follows how a community on Long Island's east end joined together to clear their lake of phragmite reed, a highly invasive species. The community educated themselves, raised money and hired biologist Steve Marino for the eradication.

A discussion with locals working on invasive species control in Croton will follow.

The free event is presented by the Saw Mill River Audubon.

The screening begins at 7 p.m.

Black Cow Coffee Co. is located at 4 Old Post. Rd. S in Croton-on-Hudson.
