Country Children's Center To Hold Annual Art Auction

KATONAH, NY -- The Country Children’s Center will hold its annual auction of fine art on Sept. 28, 2013 at the Katonah Village Library to benefit the center’s scholarship fund.

The evening will offer framed original art and signed lithographs provided by Marlin Art of Deer Park, New York. Works of art by Chagall, Delacroix, Borelli, Rockwell, Rothenberg and many others will be available.

Over the past two years, the Country Children’s Center has increased the scholarship aid provided for its quality day care services.

This fund was created by the center’s board of directors to help working families struggling with high childcare payments.

“The Country Children’s Center has always been sensitive to the needs of these families, especially those headed by a single parent,” said Country Children’s Center executive director Polly Peace in a statement.

Scholarships are also available on an emergency basis to cover child care needs necessitated by unemployment or other family emergencies such as serious illness or death of a spouse.
