Save some time for Jeff Vreeland’s fine art photographic benefit show for LVAC opening this coming Wednesday night, August 8, from 4 in the afternoon, until 8 in the evening. Jeff, a long time resident of South Salem will be showing 55 artist proofs from his “Meditations of Wind on Water” collection, in the Garden Room of the Katonah Village Library.
The beneficiary of this show will be the Lewisboro Volunteer Ambulance Corp (LVAC) which has been servicing the emergency medical needs of the community since 1977. LVAC is not funded by any town, state or government agency. They receive no tax money and do not charge for their services. All their funding is raised by the members themselves through their annual fund raiser events such as Jeff Vreeland’s art show and letters of appeal.
Photography is the third medium that Jeff has been exploring since graduating from SUNY-Purchase School of Visual Arts in ’92. The Meditations of Wind on Water images were selected for this show because of their ability to capture the magical ethereal nowTime quality of nature reflected on the undulating surface of water, enhanced and intermixed with sunlight, errant leaves, and other detritus both on/and below the surface of the water.
The show will run through the month of August during normal Library hours. For additional information please call 914 523 6664
