The winery is set amid the grounds of Gossett Brothers Nursery. Its tasting room and food bar are adjacent to the greenhouse. The business is a micro-winery, producing small batches of hand-crafted wine.

South Salem Winery is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4-8 p.m. The address is 1202 Route 35 in South Salem.

John Vuolo, South Salem Winery's vintner, has been making wine for almost two decades, sharing his vintages with many of the local towns people and business owners. Tom Gossett, owner of Gossett Brothers Nursery, is heavily involved in community events. His business is a family-owned landmark that has been in operation for more than 25 years.
