Knicks, MSG Join Business Council Of Westchester At Annual Gala

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- About 600 Westchester business leaders rubbed shoulders at the Westchester Marriot Thursday night for The Business Council of Westchester’s annual dinner.

Tad Smith, the president and CEO of The Madison Square Garden Company, was interviewed by Al Trautwig, known as the “Voice” of the MSG Network.

"Westchester is really special," said Smith, a Westchester resident. "It's a crown jewel of the southern part of New York State. It has a great energy and great leadership and it's a place we can build upon."

Former Knicks stars John Starks and Allan Houston, the assistant general manager to the Knicks and general manger also attended the gala.

Houston told the Daily Voice about the inaugural season of the NBA Development League’s Westchester Knicks which starts on Nov. 19.

The Business Council of Westchester’s President and CEO Dr. Marsha Gordon announced that the organization will move from White Plains to 800 Westchester Ave. in Rye Brook, which according to the council is “one of the county’s most prestigious business addresses.”
